IHDO promotes women’s rights and community empowerment through programs focused on reducing mortality, addressing gender-based violence, fostering peace, providing relief, enhancing maternal health, securing clean water access, and advancing formal education.

IHDO Establishment

Integrated Health and Development Organizaton (IHDO) was formed on the 12th June 2016 and got registered with the National Relief and Rehabilitation Commission under NGOs registration act 2016 as a National None Governmental Organization on 31st May 2019.

The founding members are South Sudanese who have been inspired by the need to intervene in the deteriorating situation particularly the
misery of minorities and disadvantaged communities either in rural or urban areas in the country and advocate for the right of women for equal participation in decision making process.
IHDO has its main office in Kapoeta South County and a branch in
Torit, Eastern Equatoria State

Strategies

Holding local government accountable for service delivery and advocating for and facilitating inclusion of marginalised voices in development and governance, multi-stakeholder and multisector collaboration for improved service. fostering community-led solutions, and advocating for policies that promote equity and justice.

Our strategic priorities include

  • Advocacy for improved access to water, health services, and womens economic empowerment,
  • Building inclusive peace, and amplifying the voices of marginalized group.

Vision

Our vision is to empower communities in South Sudan, particularly women and girls, to achieve their full potential through integrated health, development, and advocacy initiatives.

Our Goal

Our goal is to strengthen resilience and promote gender equality by advocating and collaborating with government and development partners for enhanced delivery of impactful WASH, health, peacebuilding, and education programs while amplifying women's voices in decision-making processes.
